Background 

Deacom, Inc. (www.deacom.com), established in 1995, produces an award-winning accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system for mid-sized manufacturers. Deacom is looking for full-time, Business Development people to take the company to the next level. Compensation for this position is a base salary plus a quarterly bonus program based upon performance.
 
The DEACOM ERP package provides demonstrable advantages over our competitors by making complex business processes simple. Although we handle sophisticated manufacturing processes, our easy-to-use package is faster to implement and easier to maintain than our competitors packages.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

The sales cycle requires Business Development personnel to research potential clients and to communicate via telephone, as well as through written correspondence. Business Development personnel will work from Deacom headquarters in Wayne, PA and will be paired with a Senior Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be able to develop sales prospects and interactively make effective presentations to potential customers at all levels, including CEO, CFO and CIO. The candidates should be capable of developing leads independently. Average deal size will be approximately $250,000 to $1 million.
 
Deacom provides ongoing training throughout the sales process, as well as training related to ERP systems and general business practices.

Minimum Requirements

  • Prior business-to-business sales experience
  • Strong presentation/communication skills
  • Excellent public speaking skills
  • Comfortable speaking to senior level executives
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Basic knowledge of common software applications, such as Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Cold calling experience
